Instructions For vanilla dream cupcake
For the Cupcakes:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat the softened butter and sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
- Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Fill the Cupcake Liners: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
- Bake: Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
For the Buttercream Frosting:
- Beat Butter: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter on medium speed until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes.
- Add Sugar Gradually: Slowly add 3 cups of powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, while beating on low speed. Increase speed once the sugar is incorporated.
- Add Vanilla and Cream: Add the vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk. Continue beating on medium speed until well combined.
- Adjust Consistency: If the frosting is too thick, add more cream (1 tablespoon at a time). If it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.
- Frost the Cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them using a piping bag or simply spread the buttercream with a spatula. You can add sprinkles or decorations if desired.
Tips:
- For extra vanilla flavor, you can use a vanilla bean along with the extract.
- Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter and frosting.
