Instructions For vanilla dream cupcake

For the Cupcakes:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (177°C) and line a 12-cup muffin tin with cupcake liners.
  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream Butter and Sugar: In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat the softened butter and sugar together on medium speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add Eggs and Vanilla: Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Then, mix in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine Wet and Dry: Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, alternating with the milk, starting and ending with the dry ingredients. Mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
  6. Fill the Cupcake Liners: Divide the batter evenly among the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  7. Bake: Bake for 18-22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Allow the cupcakes to cool in the tin for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.

For the Buttercream Frosting:

  1. Beat Butter: In a large bowl, beat the softened butter on medium speed until creamy and smooth, about 2 minutes.
  2. Add Sugar Gradually: Slowly add 3 cups of powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, while beating on low speed. Increase speed once the sugar is incorporated.
  3. Add Vanilla and Cream: Add the vanilla extract, a pinch of salt, and 2 tablespoons of heavy cream or milk. Continue beating on medium speed until well combined.
  4. Adjust Consistency: If the frosting is too thick, add more cream (1 tablespoon at a time). If it’s too thin, add more powdered sugar until you reach your desired consistency.
  5. Frost the Cupcakes: Once the cupcakes are completely cool, frost them using a piping bag or simply spread the buttercream with a spatula. You can add sprinkles or decorations if desired.

Tips:

  • For extra vanilla flavor, you can use a vanilla bean along with the extract.
  • Make sure all ingredients are at room temperature for a smoother batter and frosting.
